Maths

Students in the Nurture Pathway access Maths 2 times a week. Maths is taught through functional strands such as personal finance, enterprise and making a safe journey. Core maths skills and strategies are embedded through each of these topics such as money, time, number and place value and shape. Depending on their varying needs students will follow Entry 2, Entry 3 or a Level 1 strand of these areas. Maths is given context and developed to promote their independence as well as support their preparation for adulthood.
