PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship, Education)

At Elms Bank College, students follow a 2-year rolling programme of study that enhances prior knowledge and understanding of core topics studied at KS4.  We feel it is important to revisit and reinforce earlier learning through learning that ‘connects’ it to contexts that are relevant to this age group, such as the workplace. In doing so, this ensures students continue to learn about issues with real-life relevance to them, at a crucial transition point in their lives.

The curriculum lends itself to themed and topical trends enabling staff to address and support students’ needs. Students experience workshops through external visitors and organisation that provide guidance, developing links and networks for future support.
