Oak Experiences

Oak Experiences are funded by the trust. They are memorable activities that further enhance the school’s curriculum offer. Schools decide on experiences that suit their pupils’ needs. Each school captures the chosen experiences in their ‘Living your best life’ list which includes activities for pupils to check off during their school experience. These include residential trips, visits to pantomimes and theatres, and a variety of cultural and social experiences designed to broaden horizons and build confidence.

They cover a range of subjects including the Arts, STEM, residential and educational visits, and visitors.

Some of our for Oak Experiences from last year. These were filled with exciting experiences and memorable moments that brought our community closer together.

Bendrigg Residential Adventure.
Students embraced outdoor challenges, teamwork activities, and personal growth opportunities. Every moment was about building confidence and creating lasting friendships.

A Day at Wimbledon
One of the highlights was our trip to watch Wimbledon. Experiencing world-class tennis live was inspiring for everyone. The atmosphere, the energy, and the chance to see top athletes in action made it an unforgettable day.

Arts Week Celebration
During Arts Week. Students explored painting, music, drama, and more, showcasing their talents and expressing themselves in vibrant and imaginative ways. It was a week of colour, creativity, and collaboration.

Sports Day Triumphs
Sports Day brought out the competitive spirit and teamwork in all of us. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on and celebrating achievements together.

Farm Residential
Our farm residential were a unique chance to connect with nature and learn about rural life. Students enjoyed hands-on experiences caring for animals, exploring the countryside, and discovering the importance of sustainability.

Trip to Lytham St Annes
We enjoyed a classic British treat—fish and chips—by the seaside at Lytham St Annes. The fresh sea breeze, beautiful views, and delicious food made this outing a perfect way to relax and celebrate together.

Trips to the Theatre and Pantomimes  
Theatre and panto trips added a touch of magic to the year. Watching live performances opened doors to new worlds and sparked a love for the performing arts among our students. The laughter and joy during the pantomimes were unforgettable!
